evil

Definition:

In Jungian terms, evil is not merely a moral concept but a manifestation of the shadow or unintegrated aspects of the psyche. It represents the destructive potential of repressed or unconscious material when it is projected outward or acted upon.

Example:

Confronting the shadow and integrating its darker aspects helps individuals reduce destructive tendencies and achieve greater self-awareness. For instance, recognising envy as part of the shadow can prevent harmful behaviours and foster personal growth.
